Firth of fifth*

Il cammino è chiaro
sebbene nessuno può vedere
il corso tracciato molto tempo fa
e cosi con dei e uomini
le pecore rimangono nel loro recinto
sebbene molte cose hanno visto il modo di andarsene.

Cavalca maestoso
passa case di uomini
che non fanno caso oppure fissano con gioia,
per vedere la riflessi
gli alberi, il cielo, i bei lillà,
la scena della morte si stende appena sotto.

La montagna taglia fuori la città dalla vista,
come un cancro rimosso da perizia.
Lascialo che si riveli,
una cascata, suo madrigale,
un mare interno, sua sinfonia.

Canzoni di ninfe
urgono i navigatori
finchè vengono adescati del grido delle sirene.

Ora mentre il fiome si dissolve in mare,
cosi Nettuno ha rivendicato un'altra anima
E cosi con dei e uomini
le pecore rimangono dentro al loro recinto
finché il Pastore guiderà il suo gregge lontano.

Le sabbie del tempo erose dal
fiume di costante cambiamento


*Titolo intraducibile nato da un gioco di parole con Firth of Forth che è un fiume scozzese.
Forth si pronuncia come Fourth che vuol dire "quarto", da qui il Fifth del titolo, che significa "quinto".
